I popped in to check out Indochino’s Traveling...

I popped in to check out Indochino’s Traveling Tailor Shop in downtown San Francisco yesterday evening (it’ll be at 710 Market St. through Sunday). It was tastefully laid out, and many stylish men and women were in attendance—not least of whom were Lenny and Daniel (the social media manager and VIP stylist for Indochino, respectively) decked out as they were in Indochino suits.

While wandering around the event snapping photos I handled many garments, and have to say that for the price range what Indochino offers is very nice indeed. If you’ve got measurements that don’t fit off-the-rack very well, are looking for fairly fashion-forward suiting (e.g., their slim lapels are 1.5” and their ‘normal’ lapel width is 2”), and aren’t looking to spend too much money, then I’d say definitely check Indochino out. Even more so if the traveling tailor is in your neck of the woods and you can be sure you’re dialing in the measurements in a way Indochino will know how to interpret when they cut and sew your suit. They’re headed to NYC next, and perhaps to London and elsewhere in Europe after that…

I got measured for a suit, and went with a double-breasted three piece in a nice and versatile navy birdseye wool. I’m looking forward to its arrival in the next 4 weeks or so, and will definitely post a full report once it’s in hand.
