Unlike Guido, I seem to have trouble keeping my older eyeglass frames intact. These are two of my favorite frames of all time, both from the mid-to-late-90s, which I wore well into the aughts: Oliver Peoples ‘Bishop,’ and Paul Smith PS-500.
The Paul Smiths exploded once while I was asleep on a plane c. 2006, and I can’t remember how the Oliver Peoples met their fate (though they are probably an easy fix, unlike the cracked right temple—which has been sloppily epoxied together by yours truly—on the PS-500).
