A few days ago Derek wrote on the beauty and casual elegance of a soft collar over at PTO. This is one of my favorite soft collared shirts in my wardrobe. It’s a ridiculously simple spread collar shirt made with a robust oxford cloth—like that you’d typically find on a very American OCBD—but while this one is indeed made by Ralph Lauren, it is of both Italian manufacture and styling. By the end of a day of wear, the collar points will curl upwards of their own volition loaning me a much more rakish look than I should by nature or temperament be afforded…
Shirt: Ralph Lauren Blue Label Made in Italy, thrifted $7
Tie: Cable Car Clothiers silk regimental, thrifted $2
